ChangeMakers: Verna Price, Shane Price and The Power of People

In the interview, Verna and Shane share their experiences as Black Minnesotans, the figures who have influenced them, and their vision for the future of Black people in Minnesota. They talk about their efforts to help young girls of color and people incarcerated in state prison through their programs. Shane also talks about the lack of African American history in schools and how he and his fifth-grade teacher started the first African American History Month in Minnesota's public school systems. Finally, Shane shares his belief that African Americans are experiencing a type of Renaissance and a new thinking is emerging that comes against the old order.
