How to Get Involved This Holiday Season: Spread Joy and Empower Youth

This holiday season, join us in making a difference in the lives of young people. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

Donate

Financial Contributions: Your generous donation will directly support programs that empower young women and men. Every dollar counts!

In-Kind Donations: During the month of November, you can drop off gifts and supplies for students in Girls Taking Action and Boys of Hope. We’re giving gifts to 600 students before winter break!

Give a Holiday Gift to a Student in Girls Taking Action or Boys of Hope

We are giving gifts to over 600 students in Girls Taking Action and Boys of Hope throughout the Twin Cities and St. Cloud, and we need your help! We’re looking for socks, hygiene products, snacks, toys and games for girls and boys, 6th through 12th grade.

Girls Taking Action and Boys of Hope are youth mentoring programs, serve a wide range of youth, many of whom face food insecurity and homelessness. The holiday season is very difficult for some of our young people who experience loneliness and personal challenges. Many do not receive gifts. We are working to make sure all of our youth know how valuable and loved they are before winter break.

Please visit our Amazon Wishlist where you can view items that we need to wrap in these holiday gift boxes. All items ordered through the wishlist will be shipped directly to our office!

Kendra Scott Partnership: Kendra Scott is bringing “everyday magic” to Girls Taking Action partnering with the program’s nationwide expansion to Atlanta, Georgia.

From November 22nd to 24th, purchase beautiful jewelry from kendrascott.com and 20 percent of the proceeds will benefit Girls Taking Action. Use the code GIVEBACK-HPYYJ when you check out. It's a win-win!

You can also stop by the Kendra Scott store in the Mall of America, Minneapolis, or Lenox Mall, Atlanta, on November 23 from 12-2PM to meet the GTA staff and students in person!

Volunteer

WRAP-A-THON: Every year, before winter break we give gifts to every single member of Girls Taking Action and Boys of Hope to remind them of how valuable and loved they are. That's over 600 gifts!

We are accepting in-kind gift donations at our office in Minneapolis during the month of November, and we’re opening Santa’s workshop on December 7th to wrap those gifts!

By getting involved, you’re not just spreading holiday cheer; you’re investing in the future of our community. Your support empowers young people to reach their full potential and make a positive impact on the world.
